2025 in Review—Broadening Our Reach, Deepening Our Impact

2025 marked a year of progress and cultural enrichment for Paradigm. We remained committed to delivering human-focused, expert-driven care, and were proud to be recognized again as a workplace committed to continuous improvement and high-performing teams.

As we close another successful year, we’re excited to share highlights of what we’ve achieved together. A heartfelt thanks to our incredible team and partnerships that make our mission possible.

Strengthening community partnerships
At the Kids’ Chance National Conference in April, Paradigm Chief Growth Officer Kevin Turner participated in a panel on maximizing organizational investment, providing insights on how members can increase awareness and involvement.

In a full-circle moment, we proudly introduced the inspiring story of Brianna Flynn, a former Kids’ Chance of California scholarship recipient and current Paradigm Case Manager. After the loss of her father in the line of duty, Brianna now provides the same care, guidance, and emotional support to others that her family once received from this worthy organization. Meanwhile, in October, Rashmi Nijagal, Paradigm General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer, was named to the Kids’ Chance of America Board of Directors.

Paradigm also has an essential partnership with the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF International). This collaboration helps rehabilitation providers access resources to standardize clinical practice approaches and decrease variations in rehabilitation care. In 2025, Paradigm was delighted to make a financial contribution to this impactful initiative that received a matching donation from ACRM-CARF.

Putting culture first in 2025
Our employees advocate for others professionally—and bring that same passion to helping in their personal lives. In response to employee feedback, Paradigm launched a Paid Volunteer Day and the Fidelity Workplace Giving platform, empowering teams to make an even bigger difference. To date, Paradigm employees contributed more than 960 volunteer hours with organizations such as Kids’ Chance of America, Feeding America, and the Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation.

Paradigm has consistently earned recognition as a leading workplace in healthcare from both Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine. In 2025, we were honored to earn these titles for the fourth consecutive year, advancing four spots to 14th on the list. Fortune also honored Paradigm with additional distinctions including Best Workplaces in the Bay Area™ and Best Workplaces for Women™. Additionally, Becker’s Healthcare named Paradigm a Top Workplace in Healthcare.

Advancing industry leadership through education and progressive ideas

Connecting with our industry
Paradigm continued engaging at industry conferences and hosting educational events to drive innovation and ensure exceptional care:

  • Our 13th annual Paradigm Innovation Symposium focused on opening doors to better care—and how working together for greater health equity benefits everyone.
  • Paradigm was proud to serve as an Elite Sponsor for the WCI Educational Conference—leading two engaging sessions sharing timely insights on WCI-TV, and strengthening partnerships with like-minded organizations.
  • Paradigm’s premier educational event, the Catastrophic Clinical Summit, brought together team members for extensive learning and collaboration.
  • Paradigm was honored to return to the Lloyd’s Market Association in London to share research, trends, and technologies shaping catastrophic workplace injury outcomes.
  • Representatives from Paradigm, including Paradigm HERO Alexander Borges, participated at the AGRiP (Association of Governmental Risk Pools) Staff Forum Conference to connect with dedicated public entity professionals, and partake in meaningful conversations to shape our continued work with public employers and risk pools.
  • At the 2025 National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference Paradigm served as a Gold Sponsor, led a highly engaging session exploring state-of-the-art advances in functional recovery, and hosted two lunch-and-learn sessions to give attendees the inside track on transformative solutions from Paradigm.

Full surgical bill review—expanded scope, maximum savings
In October, Paradigm launched Surgical Cost Management Plus, a truly innovative solution that provides measurable savings on surgical bills for payers. This new product expands the capabilities of Paradigm’s current Surgical Implant Cost Management program, using an expert-driven process to review every line of a surgical bill, identify cost reductions across every implant category, and secure optimal network discounts for facilities. This delivers proven reductions in costs, lower reconsideration rates, and reduced administrative burden.

Growing our presence in the healthcare space
Led by Cathy Hartman, Chief Healthcare Solutions Officer, the team attended key industry conferences to expand Paradigm’s reach in the market, including the RISE Medicare Marketing & Sales Summit; RISE National 2025; Becker’s Spring Payer Issues Roundtable; and AHIP 2025.

Paradigm proudly sponsored HLTH USA 2025, the Healthcare Payers Transformation Assembly by Millenium Alliance, and the Fierce Healthcare Payer Summit, where Thomas Schenk, MD, Paradigm Chief Medical Officer, participated in a panel discussing how health plans can deliver more responsive benefits, enhance member satisfaction, and foster meaningful engagement.

In early 2025, we published To Move the Needle on Surgical Spend, It’s Time to Focus on Demand, and hosted an accompanying webinar in April, providing proven strategies that payers can use to reduce surgical overutilization, complications, and costs.

Our latest publication, Managing Complex Recoveries: Catastrophic Diagnoses Trends Report, sheds light on the importance of having a dedicated strategy to manage catastrophic diagnoses. The report also provides guidance for payers to mitigate risk, control costs, and improve recovery outcomes for these high-cost claims. In September, Cathy Hartman sat down with Becker’s Payer Issues to discuss the top eight things payers should know about catastrophic health claims. The report was also highlighted in a BenefitsPRO article on the growing costs of catastrophic injuries for employers.
