State by state, the U.S. is considering the question of medical marijuana. Supporters tout the array of diagnoses medical marijuana supposedly remedies, from anxiety to glaucoma. Others question if the evidence backs these claims.
From the workers’ compensation perspective, medical marijuana is particularly murky territory. How are therapeutic users differentiated from recreational users? How is impairment measured? How does marijuana interact with the array of drugs that might already be prescribed to a worker who suffers from chronic pain?
In this webinar, two physicians with decades of experience in workers’ compensation will discuss these questions and more. Hassan Moinzadeh, MD, a pain management specialist at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, joins Steven Moskowitz, MD, from Paradigm Outcomes to offer you a solid foundation in the key questions about medical marijuana as well as issues specific to workers’ compensation.
