Paradigm Promotes Thomas Schell to Senior Vice President of Sales, National Accounts

CONCORD, CA – May 5, 2009 – Paradigm Management Services, the nation’s leading provider of catastrophic medical management services, today promoted Thomas Schell to Senior Vice President of Sales, National Accounts.  He will continue to build upon a successful 11 year career at Paradigm by managing client relationships and developing new business.

Previously, Schell co-founded Meridian Occupational Healthcare Associates, an operator of outsourced on-site occupational medicine, primary care, and corporate health and pharmacy clinics throughout the nation.  He has also served as the Vice President and Senior Workers Compensation Claims Officer for Crum & Forster Insurance, where he was responsible for $350 million in annual paid claims and $650 million in reserves in 22 regions.  Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer of the National Workers Compensation Reinsurance Pool.

Schell earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, and taught the CPCU Business Law course at the Insurance School of Chicago.  He serves as a founding member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Workers Comp Professionals, Inc.
