24/7 Telephonic Nurse Triage Services During COVID-19 Pandemic

Paradigm’s singular goal is to improve the lives of injured workers and their families. Recovering from a complex or catastrophic injury can be incredibly challenging, even on the easiest of days. During the COVID-19 pandemic, injured workers and their families face additional, daily uncertainties about their health and the recovery process. 

To offer critical support during this challenging situation, we have enhanced our 24/7 Nurse Triage program to handle COVID-19 related questions and concerns. For organizations not currently using this service, a COVID-19 specific triage service is available to use through the duration of the crisis. Paradigm has been providing 24/7 nurse triage services for over a decade and has a track record of providing immediate expertise and excellent customer service.

Injured workers, employees, or adult family members may reach out if they are unsure whether or not they have symptoms, or are unsure if they should seek testing or treatment. 

Paradigm triage nurses are prepared to: 

  • Assess current symptoms and risk factors to determine next treatment steps.
  • Assist with potential testing resources as needed.
  • Provide advice for self-treatment and prevention.
  • Provide seamless transition to a Telemedicine provider as needed.
  • Answer general COVID-19 questions and concerns.

Whether a COVID-19 triage call is due to a work-related exposure concern, or is non-work related, Paradigm 24/7 triage is prepared to provide callers with the information they need. Paradigm triage nurses will provide clients a standard report for all Occupation-related calls, just as they would for a normal work related incident. For non-occupational COVID-19 calls, Paradigm triage nurses will provide general reporting, but will not include personal identifying information and utilizing HIPAA compliant tools as much as possible.
