National Comp 2025—Ongoing Excellence at the Industry’s Premier Event

Paradigm at National Comp

The 2025 National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference took place November 11-12 at Music City Center in Nashville, TN. This year’s event was another major success for Paradigm as a Gold Sponsor, giving our team the opportunity to connect, share insights, and address challenges shaping the future of the industry.

Throughout the event, many attendees shared their need for more coordinated, outcomes-focused solutions for complex and time-consuming cases—especially as year-end pressures mount for claims teams looking to simplify their caseloads. We proudly demonstrated what it means to have a recovery journey truly in harmony with Paradigm, and how our model supports injured workers, families, and claims professionals every step of the way.

Exploring breakthroughs in orthopedic recovery
On  November 12, Paradigm Chief Medical Officer for Workers’ Compensation, Dr. Michael Choo, led a panel of industry-leading surgeons in an insightful discussion on the most exciting orthopedic innovations transforming recovery for injured workers. Joining Dr. Choo were:

  • James Stannard, MD, Professor and Chairman, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Missouri, Medical Director, Missouri Orthopaedic Institute

The injuries the panel discussed—musculoskeletal, limb loss, spinal fractures, multiple trauma, and more—represent a substantial portion of claims and pose significant functional obstacles. Across an illuminating discussion covering innovations in nerve management, osseointegration, and joint preservation, the panel raised awareness and understanding for the exciting potential of these developments. Each advancement signifies the power to reshape treatment strategies, restore mobility, and improve quality of life for injured workers—ultimately driving stronger outcomes, improved return-to-work rates, and reduced total cost of care.

Lunch and Learn sessions
On November 11 and 12, we hosted two Lunch and Learn gatherings— terrific chances to grab a bite, catch up, and network while diving into important topics impacting our industry:

  • In What Is a Bundle, Y’all, Paradigm thought leaders Cody Marks, SVP, Strategic Partnerships, Lauren Rashford, VP, Clinical Product Solutions, and Elizabeth Ulloa Lowry, SVP, Risk Solutions, led a dynamic discussion on today’s fragmented systems, valuable lessons from commercial healthcare, and how bundled claim management can transform workers’ compensation. The session also highlighted Paradigm’s risk-bearing, value-based solution—HERO℠ MSK—for high-acuity musculoskeletal injuries, where we shared client results demonstrating the impact of this approach on outcomes, engagement, and reduced litigation.
  • From Setback to Comeback: Vocational Recovery for Today’s Workforce, hosted by Shannon Ford, SVP of Case Management, and Nicolas Rizer, VP of Sales, explored how Case Management and Vocational Services support recovery through a holistic, person-focused approach that moves away from traditional, expediency-driven processes.

Strengthening the industry through meaningful collaboration
National Comp provided an ideal backdrop to highlight the clinical, philanthropic, and strategic partnerships that help advance our mission and amplify our impact across the industry.

  • Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation (AWWC): Elizabeth Ulloa Lowry spoke at AWWC’s “ALL IN FOR building bridges” event. The session sparked powerful discussions around inclusion, innovation, and leadership, reinforcing our commitment to building a stronger and more connected workers’ compensation industry.
  • Kids’ Chance of America: As our core philanthropic partner, Kids’ Chance played a meaningful role during National Comp. Our team had the opportunity to meet Chris Letsos, the organization’s new and first-ever full-time CEO. In a memorable moment, Kids’ Chance presented Paradigm with an award recognizing our ongoing commitment to helping provide educational opportunities for children affected by workplace injuries.
  • Limb Loss and Preservation Registry (LLPR): Our long-standing clinical partner, LLPR, supported Paradigm throughout the event. Their partnership—and gracious promotion of our speaking session on LinkedIn—helped extend the reach of our message and elevate awareness of the solutions we deliver.

Pioneering progress in workers’ compensation
Thank you again to everyone who visited our booth, attended our sessions, and joined us in celebrating the partnerships and innovations that move our industry forward.

This year, we were proud to share insights on real client results from HERO℠ MSK, along with our latest offering, Surgical Cost Management Plus. This program uses an expert-driven process to review every line of a surgical bill, identify cost reductions across every implant category, and secure optimal network discounts for facilities.

If you’d like to explore how Paradigm can help align recovery with best-in-class solutions—or refer a challenging case before year-end—we’re here to help.

We can’t wait to see you next year at National Comp in Las Vegas on September 29–30, 2026!
