Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS): The Complexities and Controversies

Steven M. Moskowitz, MD, Paradigm Medical Director

CE Event Description

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a form of chronic pain that can occur after injury—or even following surgery, stroke, or a heart attack. CRPS is rare, frequently over-diagnosed, and the exact cause is not well understood, but the pain is often out of proportion to the severity of the initial injury. Join Paradigm Medical Director Steven Moskowitz, MD, who will clarify what CRPS is, and what it is not. Dr. Moskowitz will describe the current treatments that may be effective if used correctly, and outline treatments that are likely ineffective, giving us a better understanding of this rare condition. He will also discuss the importance of a methodical approach to care management.
