An in-network pain management specialist ordered an MRI of the associate’s lower lumbar spine and performed range of motion testing, which resulted in a diagnosis of lumbar protrusion with radiculopathy.
The provider took a conservative approach, administering a single epidural steroid injection, versus launching into surgical intervention.
At her post-injection appointment, the associate had no residual pain, required no additional epidural injections, and returned to her regular full-time job.
