Severe burn injuries are some of the most traumatic and physically debilitating, and can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Treatment for burn injuries is challenging, and survival doesn’t always correlate with severity. Join Jeffrey Saffle, MD, FACS, as he shares the current trends in burn demographics and survival and discusses the technical and physiological problems and development in burn care. Dr. Saffle will also review the continuing challenge of rehabilitation of burn patients.
