Kevin M. Fleming President As President of Paradigm, Kevin Fleming offers more than 25 years of extensive healthcare and financial services experience. Prior to joining Paradigm, he was a Senior Partner with Ernst & Young and an executive with Electronic Data Systems, working with many of the largest insurance, workers’ compensation, healthcare and financial services companies in the U.S. His experience includes extensive finance and accounting, mergers and acquisitions, large scale business transformations and turn-around situations. He has also managed substantial businesses as the chief operating officer, chief financial officer, and P&L owner, including core operations such as claims processing, payments, retail lending and information technology functions. He has served on the Bay Area Council board of directors and is a member of the Financial Executives Institute. Mr. Fleming earned BS degrees in accounting and finance with honors from Oregon State University. He is a licensed CPA and member of both the AICPA and California State Society of CPAs. |

Jay Himmelstein, MD, MPH Professor and Chief Health Policy Strategist University of Massachusetts Medical School Dr. Himmelstein is a Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health and Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the Chief Health Policy Strategist for the school’s Center for Health Policy and Research. His career in research, policy development, academic administration and public service is dedicated to improving health care and health outcomes for those served by the public sector. He has been principal investigator on a number of funded projects focusing on such topics as the role of Medicaid, human service programs and health information technology. Dr. Himmelstein is an elected member of the National Academy of Social Insurance, and has served as an expert consultant for the Social Security Administration and the Institute of Medicine. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Workers Compensation and as an ad hoc reviewer for several peer reviewed journals. Dr. Himmelstein is board certified in internal medicine and occupational and environmental health/preventive medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, master’s degrees in Public Health and Physiology from the Harvard School of Public Health, and medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School. |

Frederick M. Hudson Partner (retired) KPMG LLP Until his retirement from KPMG in 2006, Fred Hudson was partner in charge of the company’s health care audit practice in the Washington-Baltimore business unit—KPMG’s largest. He also led the health care audit practice for the Mid-Atlantic area of the firm. Hudson’s client experience spans that of fast-growing emerging technology businesses to initial public offerings to acquisition-oriented Fortune 500 companies. He began his career in public accounting while still a student at Loyola College. He joined Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (KPMG’s predecessor) in 1969, and was admitted as a partner in 1975. During his 37 year career at KPMG, he held a number of leadership positions and served a variety of hospital based health systems, including Bon Secours Health System, Sheppard Pratt Health System and University of Maryland Medical System, and large publicly owned providers, including Genesis Health Ventures, Integrated Health Services and Neighborcare, Inc. He serves on the boards of directors and audit committees of GBMC Healthcare and Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Vicor Technologies, Inc., Woodhaven Holding Corporation D/B/A Remedi SeniorCare, and the Maryland Historical Society. He also serves on the Board of Financial Administration of the Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore and the Board of Sponsors of the School of Business and Management of Loyola University Maryland. |

Roger Jenkins, PhD Dean of the Farmer School of Business Miami University of Ohio Dr. Jenkins is Professor and Dean of the Farmer School of Business at Miami University of Ohio. Previously, Dr. Jenkins was the F.M. Kirby Chair in Business Excellence at the Calloway School of Business at Wake Forest University. Additionally, Dr. Jenkins has served as the President and CEO of Jenkins and Associates, President of Goody's Family Clothing, Inc., Professor of Marketing and Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Business at the University of Tennessee, and Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Graduate Business Programs at Ohio State University. He is the author of more than thirty articles and has published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research and the Harvard Business Review among others. Dr. Jenkins is a graduate of the University of Delaware, the University of Chicago, Stanford University, and Duke University’s School for Board of Directors. Dr. Jenkins holds an MBA from East Tennessee State University and a PhD in Business Marketing from Ohio State University. |

Garrick Rice Principal Sterling Partners Garrick Rice is a Principal at Sterling Partners whose investment interests and experience include working with health care companies. He currently serves on the boards of several additional Sterling Partners portfolio companies including Artromick International, Optimer Brands and Ameritox. Rice’s primary areas of focus are sourcing and executing deals, and managing fund investments. Before joining Sterling Partners in 2001, Garrick was an Associate with Bank of America where he worked on leveraged finance deals. He has also served as Manager of Corporate Finance with Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp., where he participated in all aspects of building a nationally recognized brand and business. Additionally, Rice has served as an Associate in Investment Banking with Robert W. Baird, and Director of Business Development for FOB Inc., a start-up enterprise software company. Rice earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan Business School and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. |
