Director of Clinical Services (CAT):
This position functions as the general manager of the virtual team created for management of catastrophic events, working collaboratively with physician consultants, field case managers, carrier account managers, other medical consultants and the internal administrative team to develop outcome focused management plans and to ensure the successful achievement or maintenance of the injured worker’s outcome as well as a high level of carrier/client satisfaction. Direct and work collaboratively with above team; utilizing Paradigm data, data tools and systems to establish case specific contracts. Direct the development process and sign off on the final utilization/rate plan necessary to either achieve clinical outcomes or maintain the injured worker at his/her level of optimal functioning. Work with the Paradigm Management Team (PMT), in real time, to make appropriate modifications to the management plan based on budget to actual variances and appropriate medical services. Provide management leadership, direction and oversight for the ongoing issues of the case to drive for outcome achievement and results, and ultimately to complete Paradigm’s obligation to the case. Provide input to medical/clinical services in the operational development of research methodology and design of data gathering tools, e.g. surveys, questionnaires etc.; prepare operational reports and graphic illustrations of findings. Participate in the conceptual development and implementation of new products as designated by the SVP, Operations and the CEO.
Qualification/Education: Master’s or bachelor’s in healthcare related field. A professional degree in a healthcare related field with a masters degree in business or health services administration is preferable. Minimum of five years exp. In clinical administration, preferably with knowledge in medical/surgical and rehabilitative treatment settings. Exp. With healthcare pricing, data analysis, budget development, and clinical management are critical. Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to present to audiences of varying levels, size, nature, and backgrounds. Advanced ability to analyze complex situations, collect data, establish facts, draw valid and substantiated conclusions.
